A long time ago a wonderful Guide told me to take care of your corner of the world and the rest will take care of itself. But my vision is now wider.

I remember, awhile ago, seeing on a news program a young Syrian boy in a lineup on a war-torn street. He was so brave until it came to him that there was no bread for him. He surrendered in tears.

I have never forgotten that boy and his hunger. I feel for him and carry him in my heart.

Now I realize what the Guide was telling me. Syria is my corner of the world.

Of course, as you grow, so do your choices and promises.
